Who We Are

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Mountain View, CA, committed to fighting for every child's right to have a voice. Through our innovative technology, accessible resources, and impactful speech-disorder awareness campaigns, events, and development projects, we inspire and empower children to communicate confidently by providing them with the essential tools and support they need.

About Us

Our Story

When our founder saw his baby brother struggle to speak his first words, he experienced firsthand the frustration that speech disorders can cause. Motivated by this deeply personal challenge, he founded Chatter Bridge to harness innovative technology and create accessible resources that help children overcome speech barriers. What began as a small idea quickly evolved into a passionate community effort, empowering countless children to communicate with confidence and clarity.

Our Values

We believe in every child's right to be heard. Empathy, innovation, and accessibility are the guiding principles that shape everything we do. In every project and initiative, we remain dedicated to fostering a supportive community that empowers children to find their voices.

William Guo

Founder & CEO

8% of American children struggle with speech disorders, yet most families can’t access the help they need. Chatter Bridge was founded by William Guo with the belief that technology can bridge this gap. Drawing on his linguistics training and partnerships with experts, William created scalable, high-impact solutions like free AI screening tools and low-cost speech kits. Every donation fuels the mission of transforming silence into confident speech, one child, one word, one conversation at a time.

Our Holistic Approach

Awareness. Diagnosis. Access. Practice. Support.

At Chatter Bridge, we believe that overcoming speech disorders requires more than just one solution—it takes a comprehensive, child-centered approach. That’s why we focus on five interconnected foundations: raising awareness, enabling early diagnosis, improving access to professional help, providing tools for practice, and offering ongoing support for families

What We Do

What We Do

Our work focuses on four main areas:

Inspire:
Giving Every Child a Voice

We believe every child deserves the confidence to be heard. We inspire children with speech disorders to find their voice by fostering hope, building confidence, and showing them that communication is possible and powerful. We educate families about the critical differences between speech delay and Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)—a motor speech disorder that often persists without the right intervention—and emphasize the importance of early action in choosing effective therapy approaches. Through workshops, speeches, school clubs, community chapters, and our flagship initiative, Project Voice Up, we empower children and their families with the knowledge, tools, and encouragement they need to take the first step toward confident communication.

Impact:
Resources That Empower Communication

Our impact is measured in voices found and confidence built. We focus on raising awareness and mobilizing resources to support children with speech disorders. Through targeted fundraising efforts, we provide high-quality books, toys, and games specifically designed to encourage speech development and emotional expression. These tools not only support at-home learning but also foster meaningful interactions between children and their caregivers. By equipping families with engaging, research-backed materials, we give them the opportunity to take active steps in their child’s speech journey—transforming silence into self-expression, one voice at a time.

Innovate:
Technology That Listens and Learns

We harness the power of technology and AI to develop tools that assist in diagnosing speech disorders and supporting correct pronunciation. Navigating the speech pathology landscape can be overwhelming, so we simplify the process by compiling up-to-date, research-based information and offering personalized suggestions to guide families in finding the right support. Our innovations are designed not just to inform, but to create an encouraging environment where children can actively practice and improve their communication skills, making progress possible anytime, anywhere.

Advocate:
Speaking Up for Change

We partner with Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in under-resourced public school districts to advocate for systemic change. By highlighting the urgent needs of children with speech disorders, we work to influence policymakers and decision-makers to invest in communication rights for all. Our advocacy efforts combine research into public and private resources, direct outreach to government officials, and active engagement with local communities to raise awareness and drive action. Together, we’re making speech support a recognized and respected right—not a privilege.

Ongoing Campaigns

Expanding Voices Across Borders:

Chatter Bridge’s mission doesn’t stop at state lines or national ones. Our ongoing campaigns aim to extend the right to communicate to children everywhere, recognizing that speech support systems, cultural attitudes, and healthcare access vary widely across counties, states, and countries.

From social media actions that spark global awareness to supply drives that support underserved schools abroad, we’re building a bridge from California to the world. Each campaign is tailored to meet the needs of different regions, while staying true to our mission of empowering every child to speak with confidence.

New campaigns launch every few months, with steps you and your friends can take, wherever you are.

Want to launch a campaign in your own country or community? Reach out and we’ll help you adapt the message, tools, and strategy.
